My experience with the detailing job I entrusted Convenient Perfection Detailing & Auto Repairs with was disturbing and frustrating.
Twice he attempted to gaslight me. One was the drivers door black fabric upholstery. I pointed out it was still quite dirty, he proclaimed it was wear. No, wear would have revealed the fabric becoming gray not brown. The other was two areas of the trunk rim wear it closes on to itself, the paint was gone now revealing shining raw metal. Again he proclaimed wear. If wear over time, I would have certainly seen the paint eroding and there would be some evidence of rust. I seen neither.
The black floor mats were noticeably brown. In a redo of the interior he still did not get them clean. This time they were left not damp but wet. It was winter so I did not pull them out to air dry in the sun but I left all the windows cracked for weeks The smell was horrible, which did not exist before his mess up. The two scented trees hanging from the mirror didn't begin to remedy this.
An area of about a 1/4 of the white rear bumper was now yellowed. He said he would fix it but when he redid the interior he said he forgot and did not take care of this. Four times he scheduled me to come and have this addressed, I'd show up to have him cancel to another future time.
The one star I give goes to that I was pleased with the exterior clay bar and polish job. It did wonders for the old chalky white finish I hoped would shine again and it did. Although in night light looking down the sides of the car waves could be seen. It was notably the vertical direction in which the buffing was done.
He was quick to blame his employee who he proclaimed he fired. But what of the redo not done well. When I confronted him speaking he had no quality control to confirm a job to be done well to uphold the reputation of his company, he did not have much of a response. Regarding his workers I definitely got the impression he put an emphasis to them for time spent on the job not the quality of the work.
He presents as pleasant and accommodating but if he can't get the job done right even after two attempts I'd say don't be fooled. I'd be leery of the other services he offers as well.
