Davies Property Management

I had a very bad experience with this company and there is no one available to communicate with. When I called I got transferred to staff who are out of city or of the country; I left messages and no callbacks! They responded very late to any repair request that they added its cost to the monthly rent! I dont how they wanna provide customer service to their tenants!!! Zero professionalism! They added $250 to my townhome rent without any notice. When I moved out they took my deposit and they charged me extra $1080! The agent who did the inspection bullied me as she was so rude and did the inspection with her feet; she was kicking the doors and the drawers! When I emailed their president about my concerns, she copied/pasted all related regulations and laws in a confusing language that I felt that she meant to email to someone else. Are there any laws that protect us from these guys who are taking advantage from the housing issue we have in this province?? I am requesting the government to legislate and apply a rent control! I dont recommend this company!

PREDATORY RENTAL COMPANY!

- Stole $800 in bogus fees from our security deposit when the house was completely cleaned by us
- Sent the remainder of our security deposit by mail 3 weeks after our move out date (which is illegal to do in Alberta by the way!)
- Slow, and sometimes REFUSE to fix things such as door locks.
- All company staff I emailed or spoke to were condescending, rude, or straight up lied to my face

DO NOT RENT FROM THESE VULTURES!

I am currently a renter with Davies Property Management and I can tell you first hand, they are no better than any other predatory rental company out there. It' rental companies like these people who are part of the homeless crisis. They treat good tenants like faceless cash cows. That's all they care about, just getting as much money out of you as they can and not delivering on the services you are actually paying for. You are lucky when they respond to emails, but all the responses are is to gaslight and outright lie and do nothing to resolve very important issues. They just want your money.
To them, it's not personal, it's just business. Well, tenants are human beings, IT'S PERSONAL TO US. We are not an AI steady flow of monthly income, we are people who only ask to the company be accountable to deliver on the promise of a safe and peaceful environment to enjoy our home. This has not been my experience in my second term living here. They rented the basement suite to a young couple in their very early 20,s and a child that is on the spectrum and has constant screaming fits at all times of day and night, and then you have the couple constantly having loud arguments. It's a total toxic environment. The kicker, the male and child are not even on the lease, therefore, the male is not paying any renter's insurance and they are smokers, not only cigarettes, but pot too. They have totally ruined my experience here, and what has Davies done to resolve this issue. Nothing!
I have done nothing wrong. I am a good tenant that pays her rent on time, as it is automatically withdrawn from my account, I am clean and take very good care of the property. Also, the main floor tenants (which I am) are responsible for all the lawn care of the property, but they don't provide you with the equipment, therefore you either have to buy your own, or they will send someone to do it and charge you for it.
I am a 63 year old with some disabilities, I can't just rent a truck and load it up and move, I have to hire a moving company, which I had to hire to move here. Now, I can't afford to do it all again. So, I am facing homelessness at the end of my lease in March. I will have to sell everything I own in order to clean out the place, and for what? Because Davies didn't care enough to resolve this issue. Not personal, just business, right? Well, like I said, it's PRETTY DAMNED PERSONAL TO ME!
