My experience here was not in any way pleasant and honestly I'm disappointed but not shocked at what counts for service these days and how "professionals" in their workplace conduct themselves and what is to be considered acceptable behavior in front of customers and towards customers. Ive been to several site across the Florida state, and this one on 49th Street has definitely made itself noticeable. Enough at least, to where I googled to find where I can write this review. Collectively, I've gathered from these sites that when you finally get someone to answer the phone to make your appointment and you show up early that you'll still be waiting an hour if not more to be seen by the 1 and or 2 dental examers they may OR may not have on site for that day. They moved me from one waiting area to another to just wait and their back rooms are so freezingly cold my nipples could cut glass, they were hurting so bad. Most of the staff however, is friendly but only to a degree, which I consider fake nice but whatevs. I ask questions bcuz something doesn't make sense and the lady just kept talking over me and would only listen to respond and then just walk off. She kept coming back with the same excuse as to why I'm waiting. I offered to give them my X-rays from my last visit to which they said there was no point they would have to do a new one... 25 minutes later she comes back saying she's waiting on my X-ray to come back from last visit which baffled me. Kept saying the doctor was finishing a procedure okay.. 45 minutes later and he's still finishing the same procedure. I get it, he's busy. So one lady is behind the desk answering phones and 2 other ladyies up there going back and forth with the 2 assistant ladies that stood outside the door and was just loudly talking about their personal lives. Usually not a bother, but this was loud and obnoxious like hearing word for word about who's dating who now and where he took her to eat and why that had you feeling a type of way. Like go somewhere else to discuss your personal matters. Then they come in and tell me I'm next to be seen then i hear her go next door in the room and tell the same thing to that patient that they're next to be seen. Im trying my absolute hardest to bite my tongue. So when staff came back to tell me it's going to be a lot longer of a wait, I calmly just asked her if it would be better to reschedule for another day bcuz I have to go to work and don't want to be late and im not trying to be rude but I've waited so long past my scheduled time frame and before I could finish explaining that i just dont have anymore time to give and another day when its less hectic might be best, she cops an attitude with me and talks over me of what she wanted to say and then stormed off all huffy. Mind you, besides me, there were 3 other patients there to be seen. One in procedure, one in the room next to me, and one out in the waiting room out there. So I cant imagine it being too busy to be waiting around for something that legit takes less than 5 minutes to do. I am on their discount dental plan for a reason I needed several things done over a course of time. But what good is it to be paying for a service that youre not able to use? I spend over half of my appointments being "consulted" and pushed off that it's just frustrating when I have to take off work and make arrangements to have my ducks in a row and be ready, but nothing gets done until they can't push you off any further. I dont even care if I'm being charged for whatever it is you wanna charge me for but If I wanted to waste my time being consulted I'd seek a therapist but no I need a a tooth exam for a filling so I'm here for a dentist. Then while trying to reschedule my appointment up at the counter, in the middle of discussing detail information the woman stops talking to me to continue discussing to her gossiping coworkers about the Spanish restaurant they were only just THINKING about trying not that they had plans to be somewhere or nothing. That is by far so rude. But had the shoe been on the other foot and I were to do this to people, I wouldn't have a job very long I know that. Like if anything she should have finished telling me what I needed to know and then when I'm walking away she can then talk to her workmates. Its by far unprofessional and rude as hell to cut a customer off for a personal matter that's not relevant or important at the time on top of being at your job. Now if they were discussing work matters that would be different. While scheduling my appointment though I asked her for the earliest time since 1pm seems to be too busy to come in, and bcuz she was talking about the restaurant instead of to me, she scheduled me for 2 weeks out, AT THE SAME TIME that i asked her to not do. She told me it was the earliest they had. So I said fine, and then she corrects herself after finishing her convo about the restaurant and tells me they can do 10am and no one has called or come in since ive been standing there. So either you lied so you could avoid dealing with it lady or you werent paying enough attention the first time around. My suggestion to anyone thinking of coming here, just dont. You'll be better off finding a dentistry establishment where they have more than just 1 dentist on site and where theyre honest with you about whats going on instead of San skirting you around with their excuses that are by far not well thought out, like if youre going to lie put some effort into it, at least give me the common decency of being honest and ultimately people will be more easy going and have lots more respect for it all if yall would just be upfront with people, and hopefully you could at least be lucky enough for that better place youll find to have AT LEAST a half capable staff who's not all collectively sharing the one last brain cell they seem to have managed to not lose as well as servicing customers in a timely fashion instead of moving at the speed of snail and showing off the intelligence of someone that has absolutely no where to be and has ample amounts of time on their hands to just waste all willy-nilly . Its not worth the time, hassle, and money, or getting worked up over having to deal with the audacity of such inconsistent, rude, and dishonest staff performing sub-par care and calling that a job well done. All my flabbers have been gasted. You can bet your bottom dollar and believe that I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.
