I just want to throw few lines here. My dog was dropped off with an open wound in his head behind his ears. I’m still upset about it. I found that he has scratches and cuts in his ears as well after he was brought home. I don’t think this cut in the head was a fence thing as they said “might be” this looks to me a dog fight or an attack from a dog. I clearly said to keep him away from other dogs because he is still healing from his eye injury from few weeks ago. He had fever last Sunday 1/26 when he was dropped off. And kept pooping pretty much all night. This has never happened to my dog whatsoever. I know he gets anxious and all that but he adjust pretty quick to different places, it takes him few times but he does. He is not a bad dog. This place is NOT a business, is a house, they are not even registered!! their responsibility was to call me right away when he got the wound. I can tell from his hair that he had bleed and nothing was put on at least some kind of ointment. I don’t expect them to be doctors or anything like that but to have some common sense. I understand that I called last minute for drop off my dog due to flight cancellation, however, they brought my dog at 7:30pm when they asked me, I said 4:30pm and they said it was ok. I was home at 3:45pm. Not sure what took so long to bring my dog. I totally understand that they needed to prepare the other dogs to leave, but this makes me think that Ethan’s cut happened around that time and they couldn’t bring him on time because of it. Anyhow, I’m a little disappointed because the first time Ethan got a cut in his nose, which I understood that was the first time. But this is the third time I take him there and with a cut like that, this was reason enough to either call me right away or take him to a vet immediately. That’s what a responsible person would have done and they just dropped him and told me that he just got “that” and they didn’t know how??? I can tell this happened way before I called when I came home, so no, I can’t accept that. Then they advised me to check the website and make sure to give a review??? After bringing my dog in this condition????
I understand accidents and dogs fights and all of it, I have dogs all my life. But I’m trusting my dog with them, so I don’t expect injuries to this magnitude. I do expect cuts and scratches, but nothing like this. This was a major wound that needed attention immediately. I would have appreciated a better communication. Unfortunately they don’t know how to take care of dogs. They don’t communicate and always make you wait.
