I very rarely leave a review but, unfortunately, I feel I am forced to at this time.I got my mini split installed 2 1/2 years ago and was very pleased and impressed over the level of service and the great job the installers had done installing it BUT my system stopped working completely a month ago. I have maid 5 calls so far to get it looked at and i have to call again Tomorrow. They say they are very buisy but my name is in the Q. I realize people can be buisy BUT to spend a great deal of money in a system only to have it break down only 21/2 years later is not very good. Yes I have back up heat and it is oil heat. I figure, at this point I have at least $1,200.00( a guess ) gone in oil. I will be calling again tomorrow morning and if I don't get any satisfaction I will have to see if I can get someone to fix it for me outside of Hot frost. So my point is: the service is very very poor with Hot Frost and I would recommend that any one who is looking into getting a system you better look elsewhere.

I had a central heat pump installed in mid-December 2022. Shortly afterward I called to arrange an annual service call to check the machine out. I was told they would be here. No one showed up in December of 2023 so I called the first day they were opened in January. I had to call a couple of times and finally was told that a service appointment was made for February 2. I waited all day and called this afternoon to see what time they would be here. I was told by the person who answered the phone that the appointment was rescheduled to Thursday, February 8. I told them I wasn't happy that I had waited all day and she told me that unless I hear from them the day before, they would not be here. When I told her it was bad business, she became defensive. I asked to speak with someone else and was told there was no one there to take my call. I asked for the person I was in contact with when I bought the unit, she told me she still works there but wasn't in the office. I felt like I was being put off and the person had no people skills and tried to get me off the phone. I have been recommending HotFrost to friends and family, but I am now sorry for doing that! Luckily, my heat pump is working, however, if I did not have heat, this would be a much bigger problem! The company was great when I was buying, but their service needs to be improved!

Installation went fine but we did have to get another person to come and set up the settings on our heat pump. If I had electric heat it wouldn't cost me anymore, but my biggest issue is with service. They won't come after installation unless you pay almost $300 dollars for someone to even come and just look at something we thought might be an issue. Also, first when we had the heat pump installed I found some of the staff to be very rude when you called. If you are looking for help after installation, I suggest you look to another business. Definitely won't be having any else to do with Hot Frost again. I will be letting anyone I know that I don't recommend them
