Do not use this company if you value your sanity.
They mislead you at best and lie at worst. Virtually everything I was promised was walked back, changed or ignored.
If you choose to proceed with Invista be very aware of what you are signing and agreeing to. My phone conversation with their sales people, proposal, contract and treatment once the job began were incredibly different. My first red flag was during the signing of my contract, the numbers were wrong. While they corrected it, I needed to find the error. Read your paperwork VERY carefully. Invista says they have you sign a certificate of completion during your contract signing which is obviously before the completion of the job. I would never have signed a completion certificate BEFORE the job was even scheduled yet somehow it was signed. This led to Invista to have the finance company release funds BEFORE there were singles on my roof.
Invista highered roofers which were destructive and caused damage to the interior of my home. Invista said they would send someone out to fix the drywall and paint so that the inside would ‘look new’. Then Invista told me they had a whole team of people calling drywall companies to schedule and they were unable to find anyone who could come in a reasonable amount of time. I called two drywall companies and the second one was available the next day. They did fix the drywall but did not paint. Then a couple weeks later I heard from the drywall that Invista had not paid them.
I wanted the entire gutter system and fascia replaced with the roofing job AS IS STANDARD with many companies. The gutters were explicitly laid out in my contract. However, somehow when my roof was about to be complete, the gutters were a surprise to the Invista team. This led to a ten day delay in finishing the job. My contact read that any rotted wood would be replaced which I understood to be the fascia. However, when I made that known, Invista said no, not that wood because it is technically not part of the roof. The manager then told me that he would personally listen to the recorded phone calls to straighten it out. When I asked a few days later if he had listened to the phone records he simply responded ‘that would take hours’. Which it would not have but clearly he offered to listen to the recorded calls with no intent to do so.
I chose Invista because they were replacing a roof on an investment property and I thought they would make the process smooth and streamlined. However they are simply middlemen and all they did was complicate the process. Each plan / schedule Invista made was changed at least once if not multiple times. I received conflicting messages from their employees multiple times. For example, I was told that gutters would arrive on a Saturday then when I checked in on Monday I was told they were being ordered.
In the end, I told Invista that I would be writing an honest review so that others could make a better choice. At which point I was threatened with lawsuits. This should be the only redflag you need to make a better choice. They clearly do not want the truth told.
If you have a choice, I highly recommend choosing someone else. Invista is either dishonest or incredibly disorganized.
