I called just tires last week and asked if they could mount a 265 40 r 22 inch new tire on my rim. The young lady I talked to told me that they could as long as the tire is the new tires brand new and she said it would cost me $45. Today because of a bunch of screwed up circumstances I put the the tire and the old tire on the rim and my new tire on my dolly because I don't drive and I walked it over from my house which is I would guess about a half a mile to their shop and I walked in and told him what I needed and I pointed out the the tires and rim on the dolly in the parking lot. The sky walks out there and I came behind them and he's standing there looking at it and he tells me we can't do it we're the only guy that we have who does 22 inch rims is out with a broken hand. I called him just before I walked over there to make sure I didn't need an appointment. They told me they were very busy today but I could leave it there and they would call me when it was done they never asked me about the size of the tire and I figured I was covered because I definitely mentioned it to the young lady I talked to last week. So, there I took off again with my dolly and my tires and walked another half mile to get home. You would think there would be a little cross training going on just in case the guy who does do the 22-in tires had a heart attack and died the guy that I talked to before I went down there today never asked me what size tire it was I guess I was supposed to know to ask that even though he is supposed to be the professional. The guys that work at Walmart do 22-in tires, just saying. So, if you call the store make sure you're a mind reader so that you can tell them what they should have asked you.
