Maid in NOLA is ableist and will not service people with disabilities who need accommodation.
I thought this was a great service, until I learned they won't accomodate disabled people and are not upfront about it.
I told Maria several times my situation of being severely disabled and my needs and reasons for hiring a cleaning service before I hired them.
I was never told that I wouldn't be able to have at least usually the same person to clean. Despite me saying that my disability is SEVERE and I needed consistent help who didn't need repeat training.
Instead, I got a great first cleaning by a lovely woman named Yami, who told me I could request her again. When I did, Maria told me NO, she can't guarantee me the same cleaner.
When I requested the same cleaner as the cleaner told me I could, Maria instead told me *I* can write out directions for new people to use every time. Her solution is for ME to work to write a binder of information that is unrealistic to even be followed by a new person each time, and creates more work for me, a disabled person, who is PAYING for them to do a service.
When you refuse to accomodate disabled people, you are ableist, and that is hateful and oppressive.
Please, in order to stand for disabled people, hire someone else who doesn't push off more work onto those of us working so hard to just stay alive.
Maria, I hope you learn better, instead of continuing to be so cruel. You've wasted tons of my energy that now I have to use AGAIN to find a cleaner when you were dishonest with me and can't be bothered to help disabled people.

You're almost done!
