Had a trip and fall case and spoke to Seann Malloy who said I had a case and that his firm would represent me and I was given to an "intake" coordinator to sign necessary retainer paperwork and to send all photos, emails and other material related to the accident. After doing all that and having a second phone call where I was asked to give my social security number, drivers license number and health insurance card, my case was then passed off to the firm's attorney who represents all Virginia cases - Daniel Szieber - who only graduated from a law school I've never heard of a few years ago. After cooperating with all the very personal information they asked me to provide and spending two hours forwarding over accident scene photos and emails, I then receive a TEXT from Daniel Szieber stating he thinks that I don't have a case and that they will not represent me. What the ... ? The owner of the firm stated the night before I had a case and wanted to represent me and had me sign a retainer and then next afternoon a junior lawyer overrides the owner and states I have no case at all. This was, of course, after I had already contacted the opposing party and relayed that I now had legal representation and to forward all future communication to the law firm. So now I look like I have lied to the opposing party. When I contacted Seann Malloy about this asking for his thoughts on his junior lawyer's handling of me and asking for a response, he then ignored me. If consent is needed by more than one attorney to hire a client, THEN DON'T REQUEST THE CLIENT TO SIGN A RETAINER AGREEMENT AND PROVIDE ALL KINDS OF PERSONAL INFORMATION UNTIL BOTH LAWYERS ARE ON THE SAME PAGE. Beyond unprofessional to run a law firm like this, but for Seann Malloy to then ghost me when the night before he was eager to talk to me tells me the character of the firm - starting at the top and emanating down. Go with another law firm whose sole concern isn't "this is too small of a case and we don't make enough money" as this law firm operates. Seann Malloy and Daniel Szieber should be ashamed of how they treated me, but they aren't. One hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing, and the person that pays the price is the client.
