I have posted this review on google previously and there has been no attempt to refund my money. So I am posting again:
If I could give Leah Mayersohn less than 1-star, I would! Leah Mayersohn sold me on goods and her approach in family law that would never be attainable. It was a bait and switch transaction. After meeting with another attorney who assigned to my case by Leah Mayersohn, both she and another attorney agreed that the approach that Leah sold me on was not going to work or ever be accomplished. The retainer was excessive and was paid at $7500+. Since nothing was done on my case and because the attorney assigned left the Mayersohn Firm, I requested to have my file transferred and a full refund so that I could work with the attorney that left where I felt more comfortable as she definitely had a better approach that could be resolved amicably. Leah Mayersohn has refused to refund my monies or transfer my file and retainer to my attorney. I sent emails with no response and no refund! I highly recommend that you stay away from this firm as they will tell you anything to take your money and then not deliver. Be aware of this bait and switch law firm. Carmen Bengochea

I was harassed with phone calls from the firm on a Saturday evening at 8.30 by people claiming to be my new lawyer who knew nothing about my case; barely my name
I subsequently learned of the departure of the lawyer in charge of my case from the Mayershon firm. I requested, by email, the transfer of my case, the full refund of the deposit in order to be able to work with the lawyer who left the firm with whom I was comfortable since she has a better approach which could be resolved amicably.
The Mayershon office having needed to make photocopies again (the first ones, although invoiced, were unusable) had asked me again for the original parts. Despite my requests; impossible to recover them. I had to go to the office where they threatened to call security to make me leave. After several discussions on site and by telephone, I succeeded in obtaining my own documents and having my mandate transferred to my lawyer.
However, Leah Mayersohn refused to reimburse my money around $ 6.000. I sent emails without response and no refund!
Furthermore, 3 months later, while the firm is still blocking my advance, I received an invoice for $300 for so-called photocopies.
I will contact the Florida Bar today and file a formal complaint against Leah Mayersohn.
