Merry Maids of Ottawa

Merry Maids was the worse cleaning services I have received. At Christmas our daughter gifted us a $500 gift card for Merry Maids Our daughter wanted to alleviated our stress because my husband was in and out of the hospital. At the end of winter I called Merry Maids. I explained I have a 2 story house with 3 bedrooms. I wanted to have the house dusted and vacuumed. Do get basic cleaning I had to answer multiple questions which seemed to take for ever. I asked for a morning cleaning, but the guy did not get to the house until late 3 in the afternoon. Buy the time he got to the house because my husband was in the hospital, and I had planned to visit him in the early afternoon. What I noticed. What I noticed the cleaner did not lift anything up when dusting the surfaces. Only dusted around everything. Did not dust the baseboards. The vacuum he brought did not pick anything up. A week ago I called for another cleaning because I still had money left on the gift card. I forgot to mention that Merry Maids wanted to charge me $500 for the 1st cleaning. They halved the price when I complained how a house cleaning could cost $500. The 2nd cleaning was arranged for 11 Jul 24. The morning of 11 Jul I called to ask when the cleaner would be at the house. I was surprised to hear that I would be getting the person that did the 1 cleaning, because when I called to arrange for the 2nd cleaning I said that the person that did the 1st cleaning did a terrible job. I got a call back from Merry Maids that they had another person going to the 2nd cleaning. But would not be able to come until late afternoon. I said that would not be possible, because I had family coming over in the afternoon. They wanted to see my husband because he had just gotten out of the hospital. I was informed I would have to pay for 11 Jul and also pay for whatever day the cleaning would be rescheduled. This company is more concern with their admin and policies than doing a good cleaning job. In order to get a house cleaned you have to explain in great detail what you would like done. Even after all that they still do not know house to clean a house.
