I went to Pet co to buy a "tick removal tool" which did not work. While there an employee suggested I use their grooming service. She said if they found a tick while bathing that they would remove i.t I went into the grooming office and told the guy that's what with what I needed help. He told me to purchase the flea and tick bath and inform them where the tick was and they would remove it. He quoted me a price of $50.00. I made an appointment for the next day. Of course neither of those 2 people were there today. when I arrived today I was told that the groomers did not remove ticks. I understand why this would be, but it seems like if they work there they should know what services are provided. Now I've wasted another day trying to deal with this issue. I wasted the entire day to keep this appointment. I will be calling the vet to make an appointment for with him. I had recently spent $120.00 recently at Pet Supplies plus including their flea and tick treatment. It did not help. I feel they could have told made this was not a service groomers provided. They acted like they would take care of it. I am old. I am not able to handle the dog to remove ticks. I've never had a dog get a flea, much less, a tick. This is taking much more time than it should to solve this problem. I will not ever use either of those stores again.
