I had a grooming appointment for 12:30 on Monday, May 6, 2024 for my toy poodle Riley. I was told by groomer Nikki because he was matted she would have to cut all his fur off and start him over, which I understood and that it would take up to 4 hrs. When I went to pick him up after 4 1/2 hrs I stood outside the grooming room and watched the groomer through the window. Needless to say I was not pleased at her interaction, she was rough and at one point shook her finger and angrily said something to my dog. I could not watch any longer and walked around the store to allow her time to finish. When I returned to pick Riley up she had taken him to the back so I assumed she done. When she bought him out I was horrified at the results.
His back was completely shaved bald and I was fine with that but only one side up his neck and head was shaved bald, one back leg was shaved bald to paw and the other one only half way.
This is how he was returned to me to take home. I would think if he was so matted she would have stopped before it got to this point.
I could tell Riley had been completely traumatized when I got him home.
Needless to say I will NEVER take him back to this location for grooming.
