THEY RUINED MY HOUSE!! Not only did they do a terrible job, I have to hire someone else to fix what they tried to do. From the stained carpet to paint on the curtain, they refuse to file an insurance claim or provide their lawyer’s information.
Not only are they lying about being associated with the Painter Contractor’s Association, they are using their logo without permission. *See the email below* They have also received an F rating from the Better Business Bureau for using their name and trademark logo without permission. *See image below*. If you go to BrandCenter.Rotary.org you can read how they are also misusing their logo as well. The Rotary Club is an organization for community service, not a contractor’s association.
Nathan tried to sell us on this “finish”. I got him to admit that there’s no such thing as a special ‘finish’ when it comes to painting. Thank God we did not let him paint our cabinets. He only got the job because he offered a payment plan. Why spend $8,000 upfront, right?
I was very surprised when 2 señors and 2 señoritas showed up to paint our house. The main guy was the only one who spoke English so we had to communicate with him if we saw something going wrong. When they claimed that they were done we immediately noticed some areas that needed to be fixed. They dropped dark green paint on the carpet and just wiped it with a rag. You can still see it. There are more areas where paint has dripped, dropped, and not even fully painted. They literally did not paint behind the toilets, and yes you can see it without looking behind there.
Although they came back once to try and fix things, it still was not enough. There were more problems than we could even find without looking over and over again. We finally got Nathan to agree to come back once more. He was so kind and gracious to do us the favor of fixing his mistakes. He said that he was only giving us 2 more hours and then he was done with us. I asked Mr. Nathan whatever would we do if we need more than 2 hours to fix all of the mistakes that were made? He said that he did not care. When the crew came back, it literally took an entire day and they still could not, and even refused to try, fix all of the problems. Not only that, they refused to check behind themselves. They believe that if I didn’t point it out, then they’re in the clear. The guy who spoke English refused to do a check and help me find the problems!
After we told him our ‘minor concerns’ he never once answered the phone to speak with us or even bothered to come by and see how horrible of a job his sub contractors did. We never saw or heard from Nathan ever again. If you go by their office it’s just a closet with their name on it to serve as a business address. I even called one of the other owners, Thaddeus. He told me that he would be in contact with me within 2 days because he’s concerned with customer service. That was OVER 4 WEEKS AGO. Guess what? I’m STILL finding problems!
What are these problems? The one that really took the cake was the bathroom window sill. When they attempted to fix the corner where paint was dropped on it it looked fine. One of the señoritas came back afterwards and just slapped white paint in about 3 brush strokes across the window sill that didn’t have paint dropped on it. Yes, you can tell how many paint strokes.
My next favorite was the bathroom ceiling. I told the manager that there was paint that made it onto the ceiling. He said that my 3 year old ceiling that has never been repaired has caulking on it and that’s why the line is crooked. Caulk made the paint crooked…
Here’s a quick list of “minor problems” that we keep finding :
paint dripped onto the electrical outlets, window sills, tile floor, the walls, the toilets, the shower walls, trim, and baseboards
They painted the wall and the cabinet in the laundry room. When the paint dried they just took a blade to separate it AND LEFT IT LIKE THAT
Spots where they barely painted and you can see the old paint showing through
THEY DID NOT PAINT BEHIND THE TOILETS
The holder from my shower curtain is missing. You can see where they painted around it and just put the rod back on the wall to scratch up the paint
Crooked paint lines everywhere
Paint on the ceiling and trim
They half painted the shutters on the second floor. We climbed the roof and found it.
Do not let this company into your home. It’s not worth the headache. Now we have to take them to court since they are literally refusing to make this right.
