My 91-year-old mother-in-law had to vacate her home for repairs following Hurricane Ian. During this time, she requested that we replace all windows and glass doors with hurricane-rated (impact) products. After receiving a bid from Stacy Butler of Reece Windows and Doors, we signed a contract totaling $56,690.00 for these installations.
Unfortunately, in July, one of the newly installed windows shattered when struck by a rock. When I contacted Reece, Michael Sanders indicated they would replace the window. However, I later learned from the installer that the windows were not, in fact, impact-rated.
On September 3rd, I spoke with Craig Clavio, the general manager, who confirmed that we paid for impact-rated windows and promised to provide a resolution. Despite multiple follow-ups, including several emails and messages, I have yet to receive any response.
