I just wanted to take a minute to let everyone know DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY OR BUSINESS to Release Yoga on Turkeyfoot rd in green! To make a long story short, I had purchased a Groupon for a massage at release yoga, they booked 3 months out.
The day of my appointment, I arrived to find the business locked and seemingly closed. After calling, and emailing the business a woman finally answered the door with no shoes on, looking exhausted. Said she was finishing up a massage on some guy in the back and would be right with me. I mentioned that I had just gotten a spray tan I asked her what kind of product she uses she said she uses olive oil so it might dull the spray I said “ok it’s not really that big of a deal the spray tan was only like $20, i didnt care that much, I was literally just wondering.. she then proceeded to say she could use lotion instead of the oil I said okay.
As she was cleaning the bed off from the other guy she was massaging she said to me You know, I don’t really don’t like using the lotion. It doesn’t have the same feel. I have coconut oil at my house I think you’ll really like the coconut oil a lot better. Let’s reschedule you.” Despite my initial reluctance, I agreed to reschedule for the following day at 7:45 PM, even though it was way more inconvenient for me, seeing that I already had prior obligations for the following day.
Unfortunately, due to prior commitments, i wasn’t able to make it, but I had I sent an email to let her know ahead of time. (I was her last person of the day.) I called the following day to reschedule, I got no answer, then the owner called me back left a crappy voicemail saying she refused to reschedule my appointment, citing a cancellation policy & she proceeded to say she put me on a "do not reschedule" list.
I called her back and explained there must be a miscommunication, I’m not the one who wanted to even reschedule, I mentioned I had been excited for this massage waiting for it for 3 months & that her employee had actually said they were booked out so far because Groupon was trying to promote their business, I shared my perspective on how I know how important good customer service is, & how important good business practices are, seeing that my mother is a small business owner herself. That’s when she told me not to tell her or talk to her about running or owning a business that she’s been a business owner for 11 years. I said well wouldn’t you want to have your customers feel happy or satisfied isn’t that what good business is about?? She explicitly told me she didn’t care about my opinion or what I had to say, she doesnt care to have customers that cancel last minute & somewhere in there she mentioned the fact of me being 28 years old, implying that my opinion wasn’t relevant. I obviously didn’t want to be out the money I just spent seeing that I paid for this service & she proceeded to tell me that the massage obviously wasn’t that important to me seeing that I choose to be at a birthday party instead, and that I have a whole lot going on anyways so maybe they aren’t a good fit for me she’s not giving me my money back so contact Groupon and see if they’ll refund me.
I strongly advise against this business. The owner lacks basic customer service skills and does not value her clients' satisfaction. I have NEVER in my life been so disrespected by a business/ business owner that I had just spent my money with. Not only do I feel extremely disrespected I’m extremely hurt that this woman had to talk to me like that and make me feel like that & just took my money!
