Terrible firm to deal with. My in-laws were using them to close on a property so they could act on behalf of the buyer. Our realtor submitted all the documentation as requested but we didn't hear back from the firm until 10 days later (letting us know they couldn't represent us anymore because they haven't heard from us! Absolutely ridiculous!) which caused us to miss our closing date. When we questioned them about the delay they said their paralegal had taken vacation. That was all we got. Simply not good enough. I'm not against anyone taking vacation but when the issue is time sensitive and literally hundreds of thousands of dollars are at stake (we were very close to losing a down payment of $114k), I would expect them to have another person covering the paralegals desk while they're out.
When I called the firm to try and get an explanation as to why no one dealt with our documents over the course of 10 days, their paralegal Lisa, hid behind there lawyer Dick Chan and had him call me back. He was abrupt and rude over the phone telling to simply "take it or leave it" which was infuriating at the time considering we were only in this mess because of their negligence. Only by the good fortune of the developer giving us a week extension (which cost us $416/day = $2,912 altogether) we were able to complete the closing with the firm (we pretty much had to stay with them as they already had our file on record). And not once, did they apologize for what they had put us through.
We will NEVER use this form again! Absolutely terrible to deal with!
