Tempe Community Acupuncture

I am a seasoned acupuncture patient who has received dozens of treatments from three expert pracrioners during the past several decades. Unfortunately, none of them offer their excellent treatments at this time which brought me to Heidi at Tempe Community Acupuncture. I was very happy to have found Heidi not only because I try to patronize female entrepreneurs at every opportunity but also because her fees were reasonable and her office is near my home. Consequently, I am very sad to give an extremely negative review of the treatments Heidi provided. They are abuses I NEVER experienced during or after any of my many prior acupuncture appointments with other practioners.

My first of two appointments with Heidi was on October 10th when she provided her regular treatment. It was relaxing and I felt good about it until she pulled out two needles and proceeded to immediately grab a cotton ball and dab away my blood! I was surprised because, as I have already written, in all of my any treatments there was NEVER any blood when a needle was removed. Nevertheless, I ignored the abuses and made another appointment for October 14th when I requested another regular treatment, a cosmetic treatment, and the Celluma Light Therapy.

My second appointment was NOT relaxing for the following reasons:
• Once again there was blood after Heidi removed the needles from several sites. Although I was seated at another, station, Heidi once again immediately had cotton balls on hand indicating blood from a needle site is a common occurrence for her.
• Heidi actually had to TUG to remove two needles from their sites.
• On my way home from the appointment, I noticed – and felt – a small bright red welt on the web of my right hand where Heidi had removed a needle. It surrounded a small red wound which eventually dwindled to a scab that lasted for several days. The welt also gradually disappeared.
• After my appointment I also noticed a small scab above my right eyebrow where Heidi had previously removed a needle.
• And last, but most certainly not least, I actually yelled out loud when Heidi JABBED a needle into a sit on my forehead! I yelled. “I felt that!” and Heidi replied, “Yes.” and proceeded to SHOVE it into the site! I must have been in shock because obviously I remained for all of the treatments, and I even made another appointment on my way out of the office which I subsequently cancelled.

Again, I am very sad to be sharing the abuses I suffered during the treatments Heidi provided. Prior to my second appointment I had planned to continue to have the three treatments – regular, cosmetic, and Celluma Light
Therapy - twice a week, for as long as Heidi recommended. I have a chronic condition and I really wanted her treatments to gradually alleviate the symptoms and to cure the problem. What a disappointment!

Nearly three weeks ago I left a letter for Heidi with her secretary. In the letter I reminded Heidi of the abuses she had inflicted during my second appointment and requested reimbursement for my second regular treatment and for my cosmetic treatments: $35.00 for the regular treatment and $15.00 for the cosmetic treatment. I suggested Heidi conveniently credit my account for the amount of $50.00. Apparently, she sent me a registered letter instead and I am still waiting for the second delivery and my reimbursement.

Again, I am very sad to share the many abuses I suffered during the treatments Heidi provided. It seems this old adage applies to the treatments Heidi provides: You get what you pay for. Consequently, I suggest you avoid Heidi. Find another acupuncturist and pay a little more for efficacious bloodless and painless treatments. You will be glad you did!
