BUYER BEWARE!
In May 2018 we contacted 3 Bro Squirrels Roofing (via the Homestars website) to have the shingles on our roof replaced. The work was carried our promptly with a 12 year warranty and we were happy to give them a five star review. We paid around $10,000 for the work.

In October 2024 (6 years later) we had to have the gutters replaced and discovered in the process that the entire roof had rotted due to poorly installed shingles. The roof was in such a bad state that it would have collapsed with the next snowfall. There were spaces between the shingles through which the water had seeped in over the past six years and caused damage to the gutters as well as the roof. There were holes all over the roof where the water had soaked into the wood.
With the weather about to change, we had to have the entire roof stripped to the bone, all the rotting shingles and wood removed immediately and replaced at a cost of $70.000 for the roof and the gutters. It took us a couple of days to locate the invoice for the work done 6 years ago and to identify 3 Bros as the contractor who had replaced the shingles.

We contacted 3 Bros, sent them photos and video clips of the damage, along with a copy of the original invoice, but they were indifferent and unhelpful, stating that since the repairs had been done, they would not accept responsibility. Insurance will not cover the loss as it was cause by the contractor.

Homestars has not returned our phone calls and have not published our review on their site, which is disappointing.

We have sustained a loss of $70,000 due to carelessness on the part of a contractor and have no option but to sell and move.
