Twin City Automotive in Winston Salem are one the biggest rip off artist and disrespectful business. They completely ripped me off. I put my vehicle in their shop in Oct 2023 to have it fixed. My wouldn’t start and they said it was the fuel injector and other fuel issues. I paid them $1800 for the work. Less than two weeks later, it was doing the exact same thing. I called them to let them know and told me to have my truck towed to the their for them. First, I told them that they should pay for the tow.We went back and forth on who should pay. They fixed my truck and less that a month later it was doing the same thing. I called them back and we went through the same thing regarding who should pay for tow. Again they fixed my truck but but this time charged me an additional $1500 citing that it was something different. But according the receipt they put exact parts on minus dropping the fuel tank. When I went to pick my truck up, I get less than a quarter mile and my truck goes out again with the same problem. Again they fixed it with no additional charges. Less then 3 weeks later my truck did exact same thing only this time I was two hrs away. I called them and told me to get a tow and they would reimburse me and their insurance would pay for labor ($950)
After the truck was put in the out of town shop, I called the number Twin City gave and the insurance said that they don’t cover the issue ( fuel injector). Buy this time, I was very upset, for I had spent $1800/$1500/$950 and my truck was still in the shop. The out of town shop stated it was the turbo that was the problem. The out of town mechanic even agreed with me that Twin City had misdiagnosed my truck from the beginning. They also hung on me when I called to as about my reimbursement ($88) and they hung up on me So had to rent a uhaul truck to get back home ($210) to get back home. I’m a 22year Army Veteran on a fixed income and they ripped me off completely.
